The Thermo Overlook 2 Tall WP winter boot is about all you will need in a winter boot. LOTS of warmth is provided by 400 grams of Merrell's low bulk insulation, the rubber guard around the foot and waterproof nubuck uppers keep the foot very dry (unless you are sweating from the warmth), and the grip comes from by Vibram's superb Arctic Grip outsole, which provides excellent traction in wintry conditions, even on ice. Warm, dry, and stable; what else could you ask for?
