Of the 3 types of Squirrels in North America I am focusing on the Tree Squirrels. With the colors in the artists depiction I am going with an Eastern Grey Squirrel. The reason is that in many of the photographs that I have looked at show more Brown in the Fur than Grey. This Squirrel looks pretty happy. His tail is up, his Jumbo Eyes are sparkling and he looks like he is smiling.
